Minnesota Duluth will miss the WCHA Final Face-Off for the second time in three years after being upset Sunday by Bemidji State, 2-1, in overtime of Game 3 of a WCHA first-round playoff series at Amsoil Arena in Duluth.

Bemidji junior wing Kaitlyn Tougas tallied the game-winning goal for the Beavers 12:08 into overtime during a two-on-one breakaway with junior center Stephanie Anderson to give the Beavers a 2-1 victory in the best-of-three series.

Beavers junior center Hanna Moher sent the game into overtime via her extra-attacker goal with 33.9 seconds left on the clock. A minute earlier, the Beavers had squandered a late power play opportunity, forcing them to pull sophomore goaltender Brittni Mowat for the final 60 seconds.

The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the opening five minutes of the third period via a faceoff win by sophomore center Katerina Mrazova, pass by senior wing Jenna McParland and a backhander by senior defenseman Brigette Lacquette. It was the seventh goal and 25th point of the season for Lacquette.
