College women's basketball: Winona State shoots past UMD

Michelle Tobin had 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead Winona State to a 74-56 victory over Minnesota Duluth in the first round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference tournament on Wednesday in Winona, Minn.

Courtney Doucette, one of three seniors playing their last game for the Bulldogs, had a team-high 23 points on 9-for-19 shooting. Kaiya Sygulla, another senior, added nine points and finished her UMD career having never missed a game, playing in 113 contests.

The Warriors (20-10) outshot UMD (14-13) 43 to 36 percent.
