Wisconsin-Superior junior guard Sally Linzmeier was named a third-team NCAA Division III All-American by the website d3hoops.com on Saturday.
Linzmeier, of Valders, Wis., received honorable mention All-America honors from the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association last week.
Linzmeier led the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in scoring and rebounding and placed in the top 10 in numerous other categories to earn WIAC Player of the Year, the first Yellowjackets player to receive that honor. She also was named All-WIAC first team for the second time and named to the WIAC All-Defensive Team for the third time.
Linzmeier will enter her senior season fifth in school history in scoring (1,211 points), 10th in rebounds (549), sixth in assists (204), fourth in field goals made (440) and fourth in free throws made (303). She is the school record-holder in steals with 242.
