College women’s basketball: St. Norbert cruises past UWS

St. Norbert College jumped to a 23-point halftime lead and used 90-percent free-throw shooting to secure a 74-46 victory over Wisconsin-Superior in nonconference action Sunday at De Pere, Wis.
Four players scored in double figures for the Green Knights (2-0), led by Jill Kleiman with 18 and Regan Carmichael with 15. St. Norbert made 18 of 20 free throws. The Yellowjackets (0-2) shot only 32.1 percent from the field and Sally Linzmeier was the lone player to reach double figures with 12 points.
