Nord named assistant at SDSU
Former Duluth Central star Carissa Nord has been named assistant coach at South Dakota State University, head coach Aaron Johnston announced Friday.
Nord, who was Duluth's all-time leading scorer at the time of her graduation and played collegiately for three years at Wisconsin-Superior, previously coached at the University of Chicago and Wayne (Neb.) State before becoming a graduate assistant and helping SDSU earn its fourth consecutive NCAA tournament berth during the 2011-12 season.
Nord replaces Emilee Thiesse, who was named head coach at Minnesota State-Mankato, earlier this week.
