Wisconsin-Superior closed out the St. Kate's Invite at St. Catherine University (St. Paul) with two more victories on Saturday.
The Yellowjackets topped Crown College 25-23, 25-16, 25-17 and slipped past host St. Catherine 24-26, 21-25, 25-13, 25-19, 15-12 to finish the two-day tourney as the only 4-0 squad.
Against Crown, Alexis Landherr tallied eight kills, while Jessica Dvergsten and Alissa Autio each had seven kills. Keely Deadrick dished out 24 set assists and Lauren Peterson made 13 digs.
Against St. Catherine, Brooke Vonasek led UWS with 20 kills, while Kitty Tynen and Jessica Zimmerman collected 17 and 11 kills, respectively. Peterson made 27 digs, while Deadrick handed out a career-high 54 set assists. Both Peterson and Deadrick were named to the all-tournament team.
UWS improved to 10-2 overall and hosts Wisconsin-River Falls at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
