UMD to take on No. 1 Concordia
Six NCAA Division II teams remain unbeaten through seven weeks of the season, but that will change after this weekend.
In a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match pitting two of the top teams in the nation, fourth-ranked Minnesota Duluth will play at top-ranked Concordia-St. Paul at 3 p.m. Saturday.
UMD (21-0 overall, 12-0 NSIC) plays at St. Cloud State (5-15, 1-11) at 7 p.m. today in a tune-up for Saturday's showdown.
Both UMD and Concordia (21-0, 12-0) feature high-powered offenses that start with ball control. The teams rank 1-2 in the country in assists per set.

The four-time defending national champion Golden Bears are led by senior outside hitter Megan Carlson, an excellent all-around player who leads the team in passing at 4.24 digs per set and hitting, averaging 3.6 kills per set while hitting .322.
-- St. Scholastica (18-6, 8-1 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference) is home for just the second weekend this season, with the Saints hosting Martin Luther at 7 p.m. today and Bethany Lutheran at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Wisconsin-Superior (12-14, 1-5 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference), meanwhile, will be at the Wisconsin-La Crosse Invitational.
