College volleyball: UMD moves up one spot to No. 4

Winners of six straight, the Minnesota Duluth volleyball team moved up one spot, to No. 4, in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Top 25 poll released Monday.

Winners of six straight, the Minnesota Duluth volleyball team moved up one spot, to No. 4, in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Top 25 poll released Monday.

UMD (19-2) hasn't dropped a set since a 3-2 win at Winona State on Oct. 13. The Bulldogs' streak of sweeps reached three over the weekend, when they quickly dispatched Minot State and Mary.

UMD received one first-place vote in Monday's poll and gives the NSIC three teams ranked in the top four - Southwest Minnesota State is first and Concordia-St. Paul second. Previous No. 1 Lewis fell to No. 6.

The Bulldogs travel to Minnesota State-Moorhead and Northern State this weekend.
