College volleyball: UMD falls to No. 6 in national poll

After suffering its first loss of the season Saturday against once-beaten Southwest Minnesota State, the Minnesota Duluth volleyball team slipped three spots to No. 6 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association weekly poll released Monday.

After suffering its first loss of the season Saturday against once-beaten Southwest Minnesota State, the Minnesota Duluth volleyball team slipped three spots to No. 6 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association weekly poll released Monday.

UMD (13-1) defeated St. Cloud State and Sioux Falls before losing 3-0 on the road to Southwest Minnesota State, which vaulted to No. 2 in the polls behind unbeaten Nebraska-Kearney.

The Bulldogs play five-time defending champion Concordia-St. Paul on Friday at Romano Gym.
