St. Scholastica routed Crown College 25-6, 25-11, 25-5 on Saturday at Reif Gymnasium to finish the regular season in third place in the UMAC.
The No. 3-seeded Saints (16-13 overall, 10-4 UMAC) will hit the road for the conference semifinals to play Minnesota-Morris (21-11, 11-2) at 7 p.m. Wednesday, having lost to the Cougars in three sets at home on Friday. The Saints also lost in Morris in three sets on Oct. 3.
Junior outside hitter Kortney Morrin tallied 18 kills for the Saints against Crown. Senior setter Erika Birkeland had 24 assists, senior defensive specialist Tannyr Heyl had four aces and junior defensive specialist Danielle Benusa led with 12 digs.
