The 19th-ranked Minnesota Duluth volleyball team forcefully ended a two-match losing streak, crushing Minnesota Crookston 3-0 (25-16, 25-9, 25-18) to earn their first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference win of 2021 on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021 at Romano Gym.
The Huskies hit .330 for the match and held their opponents to a negative (more errors than kills) attack percentage in two of the three sets.
Cianna Selbitschka had 18 kills against just two errors on 29 attempts for an eye-popping .552. Kate Berg added 11 kills and a pair of aces. Madison Gordon led the offense, distributing 34 assists. The UMD defense was paced by Sydney Lanoue's 14 digs.
UMD (8-3, 1-2 NSIC) hits the road for its next NSIC weekend, starting on Friday at Sioux Falls.
