Sophomore Ashley Hinsch added 32 set assists for the second-ranked Bulldogs, while junior Julie Rainey paced the defense with 15 digs.
Emily Johnson had seven kills and seven digs to lead Sioux Falls (19-12).
UMD advances to play No. 18 Wayne State in the NSIC semifinals at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gangelhoff Center in St. Paul.

The NSIC has six of the top 10 teams in the region, with the top eight teams advancing to the region playoffs Dec. 5-7. Three teams will receive automatic qualifying bids for winning their respective conference tournaments while the remaining five spots will be awarded on an at-large basis.
