UMD (16-6 overall, 6-2 NSIC) won the second game 9-1 in five innings.

Kiana Bender of Cloquet and Taylor Koehnen homered and drove in four runs in the opener to back Pederson’s pitching gem. The Bulldogs ended the game early with eight runs in the fourth inning.

Bender and Jessica Bren (four RBIs) each hit home runs in the second game to aid Lauren Dixon’s four-hit, seven-strikeout performance against the Golden Eagles (5-17, 1-7).
