Minnesota Duluth continued to enjoy the friendly confines of the West St. Paul sports dome on Thursday, sweeping Concordia-St. Paul 6-5 and 4-2 in a nonconference doubleheader.
Kalynn Tilton did the bulk of the offensive damage in the opener, doubling and driving in five runs for the Bulldogs (3-5), who dodged trouble in the top of the seventh inning when the Golden Bears scored three times before stranding the tying run on second base.
In the finale, UMD pitcher Sam Pederson limited Concordia to two hits and a walk while striking out four as the Bulldogs fought back from an early 2-0 deficit, improving to 32-7 all-time at the West St. Paul sports dome.
