Lauren Oberle's opening-game grand slam and Natalie Wright's two RBIs in the finale sent Minnesota Duluth to an NSIC doubleheader sweep of Upper Iowa on Friday at St. Cloud State's Husky Dome.

Trailing 5-0, Oberle's grand slam to center field keyed a six-run third inning for the Bulldogs (29-8 overall, 11-3 NSIC) in the opener. They tacked on six more runs over the ensuing three innings en route to a 12-5 win. Becky Smith, one of five UMD players with two hits, drove in three runs.

The rematch wasn't as one-sided. Smith scored on an error in the eighth inning to secure a 4-3 victory, the Bulldogs' seventh straight. She had two of UMD's three hits, while Wright notched a two-RBI single to get things started in the first inning.
