College men's hockey: UWS eliminates River Falls

The Yellowjackets (11-14-3) moved another step closer Saturday night by blanking top seed and host Wisconsin-River Falls 4-0 to sweep the conference semifinal in two games.

Dayn Belfour, who starred in beating the Falcons 2-1 on Friday, made 33 saves to ensure UWS would advance to next weekend's championship game against either Wisconsin-Eau Claire or Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Connor Faupel, Andy Singerhouse, Michael Rey and Pat Dalbec scored for UWS.

Scott Lewan stopped 17 shots for River Falls (15-9-3), which won the regular-season WIAC crown.
