St. Scholastica settled for a weekend split after losing to Lawrence 3-2 in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game on Saturday in Appleton, Wis.
Derek Hills put the Saints up at the 12:34 mark in the first period with a power-play goal, but Lawrence scored three unanswered goals to give the Vikings a 3-1 lead going into the third period. Brandon Nowakowski cut the lead in half at the 13:09 mark, but St. Scholastica was unable to tie it up.
Paul Marcoux, Dylan Nowakowski, Justin Krabben and Alex Valenti all recorded assists and Tyler Bruggeman notched 30 saves for St. Scholastica (10-5-4 overall, 7-2-3 NCHA).
Huck Saunders scored two goals and Sean Reynolds scored one, while Mattias Soderqvist stopped 30 shots for Lawrence (5-13-1, 4-8-0).
