UMD UPDATE
The Bulldogs are 4-1-1 the past six games versus Minnesota, all away from the DECC. UMD's power play is 4-of-39 the past six games, but ranks No. 6 in Division I at 21.4 percent. Sophomore Mike Connolly has recovered from a concussion suffered last Saturday at North Dakota and has moved from wing to center. Sophomore G Brady Hjelle gets his first start since Jan. 23 at home against Bemidji State.
MINNESOTA UPDATE
The Gophers are at the DECC for the first time since March 7-8, 2008. In beating Colorado College 7-4 last Saturday, Minnesota scored its most goals in a home game in more than three years. The Gophers are averaging 37 shots on goal the past 19 games. Sophomore C Jordan Schroeder leads in scoring at 8-18-26. Cade Fairchild has 3-14-17, Patrick White 9-7-16 and Nico Sacchetti 4-9-13.
