Goaltender Hunter Miska became the second member of the 2016-17 Bulldogs to reach the NHL as a rookie, getting called up by the NHL's Arizona Coyotes on Monday morning.
The Coyotes are without starting goaltender Antti Raanta, who is reportedly out with a lower body injury. Raanta was retroactively placed on injured reserve but he can return at any time, so Miska's stay may be short.
Miska may also see his first NHL start if Raanta isn't ready to go. The only other healthy goalie on the roster right now is Scott Wedgewood, who the team acquired from New Jersey via a trade over the weekend.
The 0-10-1 Coyotes are playing back-to-back road games this week, at Philadelphia tonight and Detroit on Tuesday.
Miska had a rough start to his professional career. In his first start for the AHL's Tucson Roadrunners he gave up six goals on 18 shots in 26:18. He's since improved, posting a .922 and in three straight wins with the Roadrunners.

The other member of the 2016-17 Bulldogs currently in the NHL is Alex Iafallo, who is a top-line winger for the Los Angeles Kings. He has three assists in 11 games.
