St. Scholastica opens the NCHA Harris Cup playoffs tonight against Northland College, hoping to continue a recent trend of playoff success.

The teams meet in a first-round, single-elimination game at 7 p.m. at Mars Lakeview Arena.

The Saints (12-12-1) have advanced to at least the semifinals of their conference tournament nine of the past 10 seasons. The Lumberjacks (11-12-2) are in the postseason for the first time since the 2012-13 season and are 2-18-1 all-time vs. St. Scholastica, though split the season series.

Senior Brandon Millin leads CSS in scoring with 14 goals and 14 assists for 28 points. He and junior defenseman Mark Whiteley (17 points) were named to the All-NCHA team on Tuesday. Forward Brett Radford (20 points) was named to the All-NCHA Freshman Team.

CSS goaltender Peter Megariotis (3.05 goals-against average) started both regular-season games vs. Northland.

The Lumberjacks are led by sophomore forward Lucas DeBenedet of International Falls, who has 10 goals and a team-high 16 assists for 26 points.

Northland's Seamus Gregory was named NCHA Coach of the Year.
