College men's hockey: CSS scores 12 goals to rout Finlandia

Saints score five times in opening period to cruise to victory.

Zack DeBoom of Hibbing scored the first two goals of the game and Duluth Marshall graduate Jordan Fralich added two later goals to guide St. Scholastica to a convincing 12-4 NCHA win over Finlandia University on Friday night at Mars Lakeview Arena.

The Saints (3-5 overall, 2-3 NCHA) scored five times in the opening period, four more in the second period and three in the third to post their highest-scoring game of the season.

Tyler Hinterseer, Carson Rose, Filimon Ledenkov, Nathan Adrian, Riley Bechard, Arkhip Ledenkov, Will Fisher and Sam Fuss also scored for CSS.

The teams meet again Saturday in Hancock, Michigan.
