College men’s hockey: Bulldogs receive commitment out of Alberta

Okotoks Oilers forward Quinn Olson has verbally committed to play at Minnesota Duluth in the future, the Alberta Junior Hockey League franchise announced earlier this week.

Okotoks Oilers forward Quinn Olson has verbally committed to play at Minnesota Duluth in the future, the Alberta Junior Hockey League franchise announced earlier this week.

The 17-year-old from Calgary posted 15 goals and 48 assists in 74 games last year, his first with the Oilers. He has three goals and one assist through four games this season in Okotoks.

“His offensive prowess and hockey IQ will be a welcoming addition to the Bulldogs,” Oilers coach Tyler Deis said in a release issued by the team.

Olson is projected to join the Bulldogs starting with the 2020-21 season.
