It’s official.
The Minnesota Duluth men's hockey team earned its program-record fourth consecutive NCAA tournament berth on Sunday while its biggest rivals, North Dakota and Minnesota, were left out.
The Bulldogs are heading to the West Regional in Sioux Falls, S.D., to take on Minnesota State-Mankato at 6:30 p.m. CDT on Friday. In the other half of the bracket, St. Cloud State faces Air Force with the winners playing for the regional title at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
UMD was the last at-large team to get into the tournament while the Fighting Hawks and Golden Gophers were some of the last teams left out.
