The Bulldogs are 0-7-2 the last nine games and 0-1-2 the last three, with the last win coming Jan. 18 at Colorado College 3-2. Freshman G Matt McNeely had a career-high 38 saves in last Saturday's 2-2 overtime tie at No. 2 Minnesota. He's started 14 of the past 16 games. Junior D Tim Smith leads in plus-minus at plus-7. UMD is 5-8-1 at home and has lost four straight at Amsoil Arena. Freshman LW Austin Farley is second among WCHA rookies in goal-scoring in WCHA play with 12 (13 overall). ALABAMA-HUNTSVILLE UPDATE
The Chargers, former members of the defunct College Hockey America, finish their season in Duluth. Huntsville hasn't played in 20 days, since losing 4-3 at fellow independent Penn State. The Chargers have lost nine straight against Division I opponents since a 2-1 win at Lake Superior State on Nov. 16, and have been outscored this season 95-34. They rank last among 59 Division I teams in scoring at 1.48 goals a game. Sophomores Jeff Vanderlugt and Kyle Lysaght lead in scoring with 10 points. Junior G John Griggs has marks of .894 and 3.95
