Wisconsin-Superior is on track to defend its UMAC title after conference coaches voted the Yellowjackets as co-favorites with Martin Luther College in the preseason poll released Thursday.
Both schools received 57 points and four first-place votes in the poll.
UWS placed three runners in the top five last season to anchor its title-winning performance, but graduated defending individual champion Jackson Lindquist. Sophomore Harrison Hirsch, fifth a year ago, and juniors Rand Bieri and Zach Mazurek pace the Yellowjackets.
St. Scholastica was chosen third, earning 53 points and one first-place vote.
The Saints are without All-UMAC finisher Jacob Gallagher, but welcome back Cameron Pearson and Easton Foss.
