St. Scholastica dropped its second game of the weekend after losing to Upper Midwest Athletic Conference rival Crown 84-68 on Saturday in St. Bonifacius, Minn.
The Saints trailed Crown 35-29 at halftime after holding the Storm to just over 30 percent shooting. Crown got off to a better start in the second half, outscoring St. Scholastica 20-8 over the first six minutes. The Storm also shot better than 55 percent from the field and eventually stretched the lead to 25 with 5:27 remaining.
Scottie Rucks scored 14 points on 6-for-7 shooting to lead St. Scholastica (4-10 overall, 1-2 UMAC). Steve Golobich was the only other Saint in double figures with 10 points.
Bryce Williams and Tom Messner each had 18 for Crown (6-8, 3-0).
