St. Scholastica takes a four-game win streak into today's 7 p.m. UMAC semifinal at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minn.

The Saints (16-9) tied the Vikings (17-8) at 12-4 in conference play, but Bethany Lutheran swept the season series to win the tiebreaker. This marks the first time in school history that the Saints won at least 12 conference games in back-to-back seasons.

Brandon Newman of Barnum leads CSS in scoring average (16.5 points per game) but shot just 6-for-21 in two games against the Vikings.

Brandyn Frelix (17.4 ppg) leads Bethany Lutheran in scoring. The Vikings, who are on a six-game win streak, led the UMAC in offense (86.7 ppg). The Saints were second in scoring average so a high-scoring game is in the offing.

The winner advances to Saturday's championship game against either Northwestern or Minnesota-Morris.
