Tyler Rudolph continued his stellar play with 26 points and 21 rebounds to lead Minot State to a 79-63 NSIC victory over Minnesota Duluth on Friday night before 1,467 in Minot, N.D.
Rudolph, who had a career-high 34 points and 13 rebounds last week in a win over Sioux Falls, was 10-for-19 shooting on Friday, including 4 of 8 from 3-point range. Teammate Luis Ricci Maia had 10 of his 16 points in the second half as the Beavers (12-13 overall, 8-11 NSIC) pulled away from a 40-34 halftime lead by outscoring the Bulldogs 39-29 the rest of the way.
Freshman forward Brandon Meyer of Superior, in his first game back since Jan. 3 due to injury, scored a career-high 20 points off the bench to lead UMD (4-21, 3-16), while Luke Harris added 12 points. The Bulldogs, losers of 11 straight games, shot 45 percent for the game but just 32 percent in the second half.
