College men's basketball: Balanced UMD tops St. Cloud State

Bulldogs reach .500 mark after defeating Huskies.

Five players scored in double figures, led by Drew Blair’s 20 points, as Minnesota Duluth defeated host St. Cloud State 73-60 in NSIC action Friday night.

Charlie Katona (16), Joshua Brown (13), Jack Middleton (10) and Austin Andrews (10) also reached double-digit scoring for the Bulldogs (6-6 overall, 5-6 NSIC), who led 43-28 at halftime and held off the Huskies (7-8, 5-6). Katona also had 11 rebounds.

UMD hit 11 of 28 shots from 3-point range, including four by Blair. St. Cloud State only hit 4 of 24 deep shots.

Four players reached double figures for St. Cloud State, led by Anthony Roberts with 13 points.
