Several members of St. Scholastica's men's and women's indoor track team traveled to the Pointer Qualifier on Saturday in a final attempt to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Charlie Fernow had the best showing of the five men who competed, finishing ninth in the weight throw with a distance of 53 feet, 6.5 inches.
Becky Huberty won the weight throw and broke her own program record with a throw of 57-1.
Taylor Gibson, Laurel Ohaju, Bre Adams and Chelsea Johnson finished fourth in the distance medley relay with a time of 12 minutes, 15.87 seconds. Johnson also finished fourth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:08.52. Each event was a program record for St. Scholastica.
The official field for the Indoor Championships will be announced Monday.
