After an impressive performance in a weekend split at North Dakota, the Minnesota Duluth men's team jumped up a spot to No. 19 in the U.S. College Hockey Online Division I top 20 poll.
The Bulldogs (5-4-1) defeated North Dakota 6-3 Saturday after a close 4-2 loss Friday. North Dakota dropped to 15th. UMD's already difficult schedule gets even tougher in its next two series: a weekend trip to No. 1 Minnesota, followed by a pair of home games against St. Cloud State on Dec. 6-7.
St. Scholastica moved up three spots to 10th in the USCHO.com Division III men's poll. The Saints (4-0-2) have opened undefeated in their first six games heading into games at Wisconsin-Stout on Friday and home against Wisconsin-Superior on Saturday.
The UMD women's team, following a road sweep at Ohio State, received votes in the USCHO.com Division I top 10 poll. The Bulldogs (6-4-2) host Bemidji State this weekend.
St. Scholastica (5-0-1) joined UWS (4-0-2) in the Division III women's poll as both teams remained unbeaten over the weekend. The Yellowjackets remained fifth, while the Saints vaulted into the rankings at No. 9. UWS is at Stevens Point this weekend, while St. Scholastica hosts Lake Forest in a battle of the top two teams in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
