The Bulldogs (1-3) lost twice 5-4 at home last weekend to Minnesota. The Gophers (4-0) moved up six spots to No. 8 in the U.S. College Hockey Online poll. UMD is at undefeated Providence College (2-0) on Friday in Saturday in a non-league series. Michigan is No. 1 in U.S. College Hockey Online and Boston College is No. 1 in USA Today, and surprising Michigan Tech (4-0) is No. 1 in the early-season PairWise Rankings.
The UMD women (3-1) remain No. 6 in the U.S. College Hockey Online poll after a non-conference sweep at Connecticut. The Bulldogs are home Friday and Saturday against No. 1 Wisconsin (5-1).
