The Minnesota Duluth men's and women's hockey programs have added two resident athletic trainers for the 2017-18 season.

Kevin Lennon, a former graduate assistant athletic trainer at Sacramento State, will work and travel with the women's program. Jordan Ellis, who recently completed his master's degree in athletic training at Nebraska-Omaha, will work and travel with the men's team.

Resident athletic trainers are similar to resident physicians who seek training in a specific area of medicine. Both certified athletic trainers will be supervised by Dr. Susan Hoppe, who has been a member of the UMD athletic staff for the past 14 years. Hoppe has been the men's hockey athletic trainer since 2004-05.
