The St. Scholastica men maintained their lead and the women seized control at the UMAC Championships on Friday at Alexandria (Minn.) Golf Club.

The St. Scholastica men, who led by one shot after Thursday's opening round, shot 309 to take a two-shot lead into today's final round. Senior Marc Anderson of Esko shot a 2-over-par 74 for the second straight day to move into second place, a shot behind Wisconsin-Superior's Joey Cummings of Duluth, who leads with a 3-over 147. St. Scholastica freshman Liam Butche (Duluth) and Spencer Viita (Cook) are tied for sixth and 10th, respectively.

The St. Scholastica women shot 354 - the Saints' third-best round of the season - to turn a three-shot lead into a commanding 34-stroke advantage over Minnesota-Morris. St. Scholastica junior Arica Sheff of Cloquet had the best score Friday with a 15-over 87 and is now two shots behind leader Paulina Dejamco of Crown College, who is at 24-over 168.
