Melissa Hill of Mesabi Range won a regional golf tournament in Brainerd on Tuesday to qualify for the National Junior College Athletic Association tournament.
Hill, a Virginia graduate, shot a 36-hole total of 167 to capture medalist honors. Hill will compete in the national tournament in Daytona Beach, Fla., next May.
Teammate Kory Shelerud earned a trip to the men's national tournament by shooting a pair of 79s to finish third. He will head to Chautauqua Country Club outside Buffalo, N.Y., in June 2012.
