Martin Luther College's defense stuffed St. Scholastica in a 27-6 UMAC victory Saturday at Public Schools Stadium.
The Knights (3-1 overall, 2-0 UMAC) held the Saints (4-1, 2-1) to 84 total yards, including a minus-20 on the ground.
Joshuah Kren's 16-yard touchdown run midway through the first quarter turned out to be all Martin Luther needed as the Saints missed the extra point following a Zach Edwards-to-Mitchell Adrian 24-yard scoring pass early in the second quarter.
Edwards was 13-for-27 for 104 yards but tossed three interceptions and was sacked eight times.
Martin Luther held onto the ball for nearly 39 minutes and ground out 26 of its 28 first downs via rushing. The Knights rushed for 402 yards and only attempted eight passes.
