Minnesota Duluth senior outside linebacker Zach Bassuener has been invited by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent to team's rookie minicamp that begins Friday.

The native of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., was a two-time All-NSIC first-team selection who led the Bulldogs in tackles (61) in the fall of 2017 as a senior captain. He also led the team with six sacks and shared a team-high of three fumble recoveries. He finished with 20.6 collegiate sacks, putting him fourth all-time at UMD.

Bassuener is the fifth Bulldog in the last five years to be invited to an NFL rookie camp, joining quarterback Drew Bauer (Green Bay Packers/2017), tight end Jeremy Reierson (Vikings, 2014) and offensive linemen Garth Heikkinen (Vikings, 2013) and Jake Bscherer (Seattle Seahawks/Vikings, 2013).
