The Minnesota Duluth men's and women's teams each finished second at the NSIC Championships on Saturday in Moorhead, Minn.
UMD senior Emi Trost, the 2016 conference champion, was third in the women's race, covering 6 kilometers in 21 minutes, 7.9 seconds. Trost's teammate, Meg Borowski, was seventh in 21:33.7. Alexis Zeis, the 2015 champ, was first in 20:49.5, leading the University of Mary to its second straight team title.
While no UMD men were in the top 10, six Bulldogs were among the top 28, including 12th-place Cody Sedbrook, whose 8K time was 25:08.5.
Sioux Falls' Mason Phillips (24:06.6) and Steven Brown (24:35.4) finished 1-2, while Augustana was the runaway team winner. The Vikings placed five runners in the top 11 en route to their ninth consecutive men's championship.
