Neither the St. Scholastica women nor the Wisconsin-Superior men had the individual winner in Saturday's UMAC Championships at Benson, Minn., but each had enough depth to repeat as team champions.
The Saints women dominated, scoring 20 points by taking six of the top seven spots to record a fourth consecutive title. Only champion Katherine Novak of Minnesota-Morris (23 minutes, 29 seconds for 6 kilometers) prevented a CSS clean sweep. Aria Plewa was runner-up in 23:54.
On the men's side, UWS totaled 32 points to win its third crown in a row - 28 points ahead of runner-up St. Scholastica. UWS placed five runners in the top 10, led by third-place finisher Jordan Koski.
Saints sophomore Isaac Boedigheimer of Cloquet, however, was the individual winner as he crossed the finish line for the 8K race in 26:11.
