UMD women fall to Moorhead
Minnesota Duluth couldn't maintain its four-point halftime lead, was outscored by 11 in the second half and fell 84-77 to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference foe Minnesota State-Moorhead Friday night at Romano Gym.
The Bulldogs led 40-36 at halftime on the strength of 43 percent shooting (15-for-35), but the Dragons enjoyed a 48-37 second-half advantage after UMD's shooting fell cold at 33 percent (13-for-39).
Katrina Newman and Courtney Doucette each scored 15 points for the Bulldogs (13-8 overall, 10-7 NSIC), while Marisa Yernatich paced the Dragons (12-9, 9-8) with a game-high 19.
