Wisconsin-Superior dropped a pair of nonconference baseball games Wednesday in Tucson, Ariz., falling 4-3 to Oberlin (Ohio) College and 12-2 to Carroll (Wis.) University.
In their opener, the Yellowjackets (1-9) trailed 4-0 until Braeden Barr, who was 3-for-4, launched a three-run homer to left field in the ninth inning. That was the end of UWS' scoring, however.
Later in the day, Carroll turned a 4-1 game into a rout via a six-run fifth. The Pioneers banged out 20 hits, with leadoff man Jacob Langford notching five. Barr and Greg Pitts had two apiece for UWS.
