Minnesota Duluth recorded a second straight Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference doubleheader split with the University of Sioux Falls on Friday in Sioux City, Iowa.
The Bulldogs won 7-6 before losing 17-7.
The Bulldogs (2-16, 2-2 NSIC) took a 5-0 lead in the opener and finished the victory with RBI hits in the seventh inning from Jimmy Heck and Kyle Comer. Pitcher Adam Zwak worked into the sixth inning and earned the victory.
Sioux Falls (7-15, 2-6) had 17 hits in the second game. UMD led 2-0 before the Cougars rallied, led by an eight-run sixth inning. First baseman Alex Wojciechowski had three hits for the Bulldogs.
