Third-ranked Minnesota Duluth improved to 13-0 overall and 4-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play with a 25-18, 25-21, 25-8 victory on Friday night at the University of Sioux Falls.
Junior Kate Lange of Hibbing led the way with 17 kills and freshman setter Ashley Hinsch had 35 set assists. Senior middle blocker Kalli Lochner added nine kills to just one error, while Julie Rainey led the defense with 13 digs.
Emily Johnson had eight kills to lead the Cougars (8-4, 0-3).
UMD plays at No. 4 Southwest Minnesota State at 3 p.m. today in Marshall, Minn.
