Minnesota Duluth will play an 11-game all-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference regular-season schedule for the second straight year as the Bulldogs released their 2013 schedule Monday.
The Bulldogs, the five-time defending NSIC North Division champions, open their 81st year of intercollegiate football at home on Saturday, Sept. 7, against Sioux Falls, the first of five regular-season contests at Malosky Stadium. It's the first meeting between UMD and Sioux Falls, which went 9-2 in its first year in the league last fall.
The Bulldogs, who went 10-2 in 2012 and advanced to their fifth straight NCAA Division II tournament, play at Upper Iowa the following Saturday before returning to Duluth on Sept. 21 to play defending NSIC overall champion Minnesota State-Mankato (13-1 overall, 11-0 NSIC in 2012).
UMD's first three contests are at 6 p.m., while the rest are in the afternoon, culminating with the regular-season finale against Northern State at 1 p.m. Nov. 16 in Aberdeen, S.D.
