Bulldog Insider Podcast: Behind the scenes of 'Hockeyland' with Blake Biondi

This week on the Bulldog Insider Podcast, Minnesota Duluth junior wing Blake Biondi tells us what it was like to have his senior year at Hermantown High School documented by a film crew for the documentary, 'Hockeyland'; and what it was like to go back and relive that part of his life three years later.

Blake Biondi of Hermantown was the Duluth News Tribune's 2020 All-Area boys hockey Player of the Year during his senior season at Hermantown High School. He was also Minnesota's Mr. Hockey and one of the main subjects of the documentary, 'Hockeyland', now in theaters.

Imagine what it would be like to have a documentary film crew follow you around for your senior year of high school? They're at all of your extracurricular activities, they drop in at family gatherings and their even there at your school dance.

Now imagine going back and watching all that in a movie theater years later.

This week on the Bulldog Insider Podcast, Minnesota Duluth junior wing Blake Biondi answers those questions and more, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the hit documentary 'Hockeyland', which followed around the Hermantown Hawks and Eveleth-Gilbert Golden Bears during the 2019-20 season. Biondi was a senior for the Hawks at the time, and one of the players the film focused on throughout on of the last seasons of Golden Bears hockey and the Hawks' run to the state title game.

'Hockeyland' is currently in theaters nationwide and will be available for purchase online for streaming starting Oct. 18.
