Adam Kleber, a 6-foot-3 defenseman from Chaska, commits to Bulldogs

At 6-3, 201-pounds, Minnesota Duluth lands a verbal commitment from a big blueliner that is heading into his junior year at Chaska High School.

Chaska sophomore defenseman Adam Kleber has verbally committed to Minnesota Duluth, his family confirmed to the News Tribune on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-3, 201-pound blueliner posted four goals and 13 assists in 28 games as a sophomore in 2021-22 with Chaska, whose season ended in the Section 2AA final via a loss to Prior Lake. Kleber had assists on both the game-tying and overtime game-winning goals against Minnetonka in the section semifinals.

Kleber was drafted in the first round, No. 11 overall, by the Lincoln Stars in the 2022 United States Hockey Phase I (Futures) Draft. He also went in the second round, No. 34 overall, to the Portland Winterhawks in the 2021 Western Hockey League (Canadian major junior) U.S. Priority Draft.

Kleber is also among the 47 players who part in USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program evaluation camp this spring.
