NHL Central Scouting released its final 2020 draft rankings on Wednesday and they include four Minnesota Duluth recruits and three players that call the Northland home.

The player checking both of those boxes is Hermantown senior forward Blake Biondi. The News Tribune All-Area Player of the Year and Minnesota Mr. Hockey ranks 64th among North American skaters . He received the second highest 2019-20 ranking of the 17 Minnesota high school skaters who landed among the 217 North American skaters ranked.

The highest ranking for a Minnesota high schooler went to future Bulldogs defenseman Wyatt Kaiser of Andover. He came in at No. 37. Other future Bulldogs in the rankings include forward Carter Loney, of the Steinbach Pistons (Manitoba Junior Hockey League), at No. 167, and St. Cloud Cathedral forward Jack Smith at No. 189.

Former Cloquet-Esko-Carlton defenseman Mason Langenbrunner, who played his senior season with Eden Prairie, came in at No. 131 and Greenway senior defenseman Christian Miller was ranked 205th.

UMD 2020-21 schedule taking shape

The NCHC released its 2020-21 conference schedule on Wednesday and UMD tweeted out the home games for the Bulldogs men's hockey schedule. All that combined with information from a News Tribune source gives fans a picture of what the 2020-21 season will look like for the Bulldogs, if the season starts on time and is, indeed, played.

The 2019-20 season was halted after the regular season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. An NCHC and NCAA postseason originally set to be played without fans was quickly canceled after college campuses across the country began to shut down and moved classes online.

The UMD athletic department announced last week it has delayed season ticket renewals .

Below is a 2020-21 UMD men's hockey schedule compiled by the News Tribune.
