ROSEVILLE, Minn. -- Carlos Boquin scored three goals and assisted on two others as top-seeded Prairie Seeds Academy showed why it is the talk of the Class A high school boys soccer state tournament with a 7-0 quarterfinal victory over Proctor tonight at Roseville Area High School.

Boquin, a freshman forward, scored twice in the first half -- one after a pinpoint pass from Christian Dominguez and the other on a curling 25-yard shot -- to put the Rails two goals down at the half.

Boquin completed the natural hat trick in the 52nd minute with a shot to the far post for his 26th goal of the season before crossing to a wide-open Gerald Ben for a 4-0 lead in the 64th minute. Reserve Sirleaf Wiah scored on a nice solo effort from the right edge of the penalty area in the 72nd minute, and Ben netted his second of the half and 29th of the season in the 76th.

Isaac Kanneh, one of five players to commit to a Division I school, scored the final goal in the 80th minute.

Despite the final score, Proctor senior goalkeeper Iziah Schramm played spectacularly at times. He made several quality saves to keep the Lycans (18-0-1) below their 6.3 goals-per-game average until the final moments.
