Back 2 School Brawl Saturday at Wessman
Duluth's R.J. "T-Rex" Laase will fight Tyler Ziolkowski of St. Joseph, Mo., in a scheduled eight-round welterweight bout on Saturday as part of the Back 2 School Brawl professional boxing card at Wessman Arena in Superior.
Laase (8-1, 5 knockouts) has won four straight bouts and is fighting in the main event for the first time in his career, while Ziolkowski (14-16, 8 KOs) has lost three straight, all by first-round knockouts.
Duluth gym owner Joe Lorenzi (0-5) also returns to the ring for the first time since Aug. 25, 2007, where he will fight Tom Greylak in a cruiserweight bout. Greylak is making his professional debut.
Duluth's Dustin Mason (3-0, 3 KOs) is also part of the card and will fight Erik Vo of Minneapolis, another fighter making his debut, in a scheduled four-round super featherweight bout.
