After spending the bulk of their summer on the road, Parker Adams and Zach Spehar -- the Bike Potatoes -- returned to Duluth late last week.
The recent Duluth Denfeld graduates initially planned to ride a tandem bike to Maine and back, all the while visiting YMCAs to promote the Y's Healthy Kids program. After a strong start to their journey, though, the duo's bike was struck by a moving vehicle, forcing them to abandon their bike for a Toyota Prius.
Adams and Spehar, along with the YMCA, are celebrating a successful journey with a baked potato bar from 5-6:30 p.m. today at the Park Point Beach House. The public is invited to attend.
